How to Understand the Quality of Cashmere Blend?

 Lisa     05:32     Shopping     No comments

If you are decided on buying clothes made of cashmere or if you are opening a business where you are planning to make and sell clothes made out of cashmere then it is necessary to know all about cashmere blend. But if you are a novice then, it is possible that you might not have full knowledge about the quality of the cashmere blend. So, here is a small guide for you to follow to understand the condition of cashmere blend.

About Cashmere Blend
Cashmere has a very fine blend, but it depends upon the nature of the fabric used while building the blend. Cashmere blend is obtained from goat's wool and a variety of other materials like silk, cotton, synthetic etc. If the fibre is obtained directly from the goat, then it is known as raw fibre. If the raw fibre is then processed in various ways, it is called as processed wool. Processed wool is both hygienic and softer than raw yarns as the rough edges get polished off.

You can also get new fibre yarns or use recycled ones to make clothes out of cashmere. The blends of each above mentioned are available in various factories and shops dealing with bulk cashmere. You can select the cashmere yarn that you need and also according to your budget you can choose the best yarn. If you are ordering in bulk, then you can quickly get yarns at a cheaper price range.

What to Look for?
When you are buying cashmere, it is essential that you understand all about cashmere blend. You can look for the following to get a better understanding of cashmere blend.

• Take a look at the softness of the material. If the blend is raw, it will still have some rough edges, although the yarn will be soft and supple. Also, you can get the natural feel when you touch the wool. If silk is mixed then it will have a silky texture and feel.

• Processed yarns are more refined and supple and do not have a rough feel when touched. The yarns also have a variety of shades and the varied colours are another important indicator of processed cashmere yarns. You can get a lot of shade with cotton cashmere blends.

• If you are buying yarns made out of used cashmere then you can feel the worn out comfortable feel it gives at the first touch itself. Look out for any breaks in the yarns. Is the thread has a break or feels like it can break then it is better not to buy that yarn.

• Also, ensure to look for any sign of unhygienic conditions of the yarns. If the yarns do not look fresh and good it is best left alone. Purchase on the best in terms of quality and colour. Run your hand through the thread and see if it leaves a stain of colour behind on the wet test cloth or your hand.

The price also plays a great role in determining the quality of the cashmere blend but always ensure that the price you are paying is worth the material. You can also do some research on the net to get more information.
